This website and indeed all my work, is lovingly dedicated to three amazing people:
Rachel, who has always existed and is very much alive.
Gerry, who used to be alive but no longer exists.
Sophie, who never existed and is no longer alive.
I have been writing for over forty-five years!
I write poetry, song lyrics, short stories, books, articles, letters, anything really but, so far, my work has only filled up notebooks and beer mats, so I finally decided to, ‘Put it all out there’ and see what everyone thinks. It won’t appeal to everyone, and it may appeal to no-one, but people have been asking for it so here it is!
I take inspiration from everywhere and absolutely everything I do is for my wife and our crazy Jack Russell. Even the name Red Gloves Writing comes from the fact that, when my wife was my girlfriend, her initials were RG and, because my entire life is about her, I wanted a name for my writing that would encompass her initials, and the first thing that came into my head was Red Gloves, and so the name was born!
The photo on the front of this website is also in relation to her, but that’s a story for another time!
I will update this site on a very regular basis: weekly but probably daily and hope that you find it a source of entertainment, if only to while away a few minutes in your day. Whatever your opinion, I would love to hear from you so please contact me at Redgloveswriting@outlook.com. You can also click on to my contacts page to see other ways to reach me.
That’s all there is to say apart from a huge, ‘Thank you!’ to all the wonderful people at Bear Behind Ltd because, without their expertise and guidance, this website wouldn’t exist, and I’d still be writing everything by hand!
